Hi, I’m Matt Hoffman, and I’m a passionate musician, producer, creative and piano technician. I’ve been musical my whole life, and received my Bachelors in Music Composition (CU Boulder) in 2003 and my Masters in Music Theory (Indiana University Jacobs School of Music) in 2007.

My grandpa opened the original Hoffman’s Melody Shop music shop in 1950 in Alamogordo, NM, and my folks were both oboists in high school in Alamogordo. Fast forward 50 years and we have the original Hoffman’s Melody Shop sign as the foundation of my music business.

I spent 17 years teaching songwriting and music theory in higher education at Indiana University, Metro State University and CU Denver’s MEIS Department. I am also actively creating, recording, producing and performing original music, both as an artist and in collaboration with Denver/Colorado musicians. You can listen to some of my work HERE.

Recently I decided to leave teaching to pursue what has become a wonderful passion of working on pianos. I became a Certified Piano Technician through Piano Technician Academy and am active in the Denver Chapter of the Piano Technicians Guild. I would love the opportunity to serve you and your piano!
